Yoga

I'm currently half way through my Yoga teacher training course at the Mandala Yoga Ashram in Wales.  As well as a Teacher Training course, this is also a way of deepening ones own Yoga Practice. Being on the course has been a beautiful experience so far. Each visit to the Ashram has been special and unique. The  Ashram practices are influenced bySwami Satyananda Saraswati  and the Bihar School of YogaSince my first visit in July 2012, i've gained an insight into many aspects of Yoga, such as:

  •  Asana
  •  Mantra
    Swami Satyananda Saraswati
  •  Meditation
  • Mudra
  •  Karma Yoga
  •  Kirtan
  •  Pranayama,
  • Yoga Nidra
  •  The Chakras
  • Self -inquiry
  • Study of Yogic Texts such as The Bhagavad Gita, The Hatha Yoga Pradipika, The Yoga Sutras and the Upanishads.

I've recently started teaching Hatha Yoga at 'The Mandala' in Preston. The class is suitable for beginners and focuses on using Yoga Asana to develop strength , flexibility, balance, coordination and  mobility.

I'll also be starting a Yoga class at the Sanctuary of healing in Langho. There is a flyer attached below. I'm hoping the class takes off. The venue is immaculate. During the class I'll be teaching Asana, Pranayama and relaxation. Classes will be directly influenced by what I am learning at the Ashram.
